It’s always a good day when we receive a new Star Wars release from publisher DK Books, this time it’s the snappily titled ‘Star Wars Timelines: From the Time Before the High Republic to the Fall of the First Order‘. As with other Star Wars books from DK, it’s a beautifully presented hardback book and features 344 pages of glorious Star Wars photographs, movie stills, illustrations and graphics. Star Wars Timelines charts the history of Star Wars from the time before the High Republic to the end of the First Order. The book has a chronological approach and divides Star Wars into seven key eras: Early History, The High Republic, The Fall of the Jedi, The Reign of the Empire, The Age of Rebellion, The New Republic, and The Rise of the First Order. In each chapter you can track key conflicts across the years and how they affect the galaxy. Follow the Skywalker lightsaber as it passes through the generations and witness the evolution of the iconic TIE fighter across different eras. Trace the movement of the Death Star plans over the years and uncover multiple branching timelines that break down important battles. All the timelines and page layouts are nicely designed with lots of detail and fascinating insights and snippets. It’s a great resource, with plenty for both the casual and the die-hard Star Wars fan, and a must-have addition to your Star Wars book collection.
